Marie Curie A National and Scientific Treasure

It’s not often that a Scientific Notebook is regarded as a national and scientific treasure, but Marie Curie’s notebook is regarded as such. Curie, the discoverer of two elements was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first female professor at the University of Paris. Looking at her scientific notebook is as exciting as looking at an artist’s sketchbook: In each case, you can see the thought processes behind the work. Unfortunately, Curie’s notebooks are contaminated by radiation and have to be stored in a lead-lined boxes at the national library of France in Paris. Our company was producing and selling notebooks during her lifetime, and we often ship to Europe, but we unfortunately don’t have records to show whether we sold any to her.
